About the Company

Our client is a an Australian owned and operated Project Home and Granny Flat builder based across the Sydney Metro and South Coast regions. Building over 250 granny flats and project homes annually, they have established themselves as a trusted and reputable business in the Residential Construction space.

They have a niche focus on house and land packages, investment homes and working with first home buyers to build an affordable, high quality product. Due to their growth in the project homes sector, this builder is looking to expand their team with a highly experienced project homes sales estimator.

About the Role

This is an extremely fast-paced role within the business, and we are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the residential building and construction space. Working directly with the owners of the business and their business manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the initial tendering and estimating across their project homes business.

Duties

• Organising pre-site tender inspections
• Liaising with the Design Consultants to ensure monthly sales targets are met
• Preparation, estimating, and client sign off for variation of contracts throughout various stages of the project - including post-contract, drafting, planning and construction
• Liaising with the Design Manager regarding selections and upgrades
• Updating pricing structure as required to ensure accuracy and profitability
• Preparing scope of works for Tenders and Contracts
• Maintaining thorough knowledge of current Building Codes and Regulations

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years estimating experience with a granny flat or new home builder is essential
• Diploma in Building and Construction OR Carpentry trade will be highly favourable
• Prior experience using estimating software (i.e. Databuild, BuildSoft, BlueBeam or similar)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills with supervisors, suppliers, trades, agents and contractors
