The mine site

Operating in central SA, this large-scale underground hard-rock mine is a mature operation with a strong safety culture and a consistent demand for skilled trades and operators. You will enjoy:

• 2:2 roster (days and nights) working 12 hour days
• A well-connected team culture, that believes in support and training
• Fly into site on Tuesday morning at 6.00pm, fly back into Adelaide at around 10.00am 14 days later
• Meals and accommodation provided in a modern well equipped and facilitated mining camp
• Enjoy a modern, clean accommodation provided with gyms, sports facilities, wet and dry mess

The role

You will enjoy working in a team of specialist operators working on a ground support mining contract. As an Agi Operator your duties will include;-

• Operating Agitator Trucks (concrete trucks)
• Transporting shotcrete product from the surface batch plant to the UG mine working area
• Work to shift and swing KPI's
• Adhere to safety protocols and conduct risk assessments.
• Machinery on the contract - Sandvik Cablebolters, Normet Shotcreters & Agi's, Elphinstone Agi, Volvo Loaders and light vehicles.

Your skills and experience

Ideally, you will come from a background working as a truck/ machine operator on a mine site. However, applications are also open for entry level mining skills with tradespeople being highly regarded in these roles. You will have:

• Unrestricted drivers license (ability to drive manual vehicles)
• Previous experience operating or driving trucks (highly regarded not essential)
• Highly reliable, punctual and trustworthy
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
• Ability to obtain a current National Police Clearance & pass a pre-employment medical

Contract and salary

Marble is partnered with this underground mining contractor to supply long term employees to the site. The opportunity exists to join the company on an initial 6-month contract through Marble and transition over to the clients' books after a short probation period (depending on performance and availability).

• $49.50ph + super (whilst working through Marble on a labour hire contract)
• Weekly pay cycles whilst working through Marble
• Approximately $42.00ph + super when working for the mining contractor in a permanent role
