Overview:

Our esteemed client is seeking to fill the position of a Charge Up Operator, a pivotal role in their underground mining operations. This exciting full-time, permanent opportunity with a leading underground mine contractor places you at the forefront of safe and efficient explosive handling. The successful candidate will ensure the seamless execution of development and production charging activities, significantly contributing to the success and safety of projects. This role is critical in shaping the future of mining by optimizing blasting operations and minimizing risks.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 6 months of underground charge-up experience.
• Proficiency in the safe and efficient handling, transport, and storage of explosives and blasting agents.
• Strong understanding of and adherence to site blasting and evacuation procedures.
• Capability to conduct blast hole preparation to minimize misfires and enhance explosives utilization.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with emulsion explosives.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Required Education and Experience:

• Current WA Shot Firer's License.
• Proven track record in underground mining operations.

Other Requirements:

• Must have the right to work in Australia.
• Current and valid Australian Manual Driver's License.
• Preferred candidates should reside in Western Australia.
