Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

This established Sydney-based joinery business has been delivering high-quality custom joinery solutions for over a decade. Specialising in residential and commercial projects, the company is known for its craftsmanship, attention to detail, and ability to deliver tailored joinery solutions that elevate spaces.

With a strong project pipeline and continued growth, the team is seeking a proactive and highly organised Joinery Administrator to support daily operations and streamline workflow.

The Role:

This is a pivotal role within the business, supporting project coordination, financial administration, supplier management, and overall operational efficiency. You will act as the central point of organisation, ensuring projects run smoothly from scheduling through to completion.

The position offers flexibility (remote or office-based) and the opportunity to potentially grow into a full-time role as the business continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities:

Project & Scheduling Coordination

  • Manage current and upcoming projects using project management software and Excel
  • Coordinate timelines and task allocation to ensure deadlines are met
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and maintain transparency

Bookkeeping & Financial Administration

  • Manage accounts and financial records using Xero
  • Maintain accurate and organised bookkeeping processes

Procurement & Supplier Liaison

  • Coordinate job-specific purchasing and material orders
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement

General Administration

  • Manage incoming enquiries and communications
  • Reduce phone traffic and streamline workflow
  • Support senior management

Project Overlap & Workflow Management

  • Adapt to changing project priorities
  • Ensure stakeholders are kept informed of updates, changes, and timelines

About You:

  • Previous experience in joinery or construction administration highly regarded
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and project management software
  • Experience with Xero and Asana would be preferred
  • Highly organised with strong multitasking ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
  • Commercial awareness and confidence in negotiating pricing or supplier terms where required
