The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity for a Mining Engineer with 1-2+ years UG hard rock mining experience to grow and develop their skills with a highly regarded team. In this role you'll enjoy working across two mine sites operating with a range of mining methods. Taking on this role will tap into;-
- Joining a diverse team of 15 with strong tenure and low turnover
- Convenient 5-minute commute to site from camp (newly renovated camp facilities)
- Chartered flights to Cloncurry from Brisbane and Townsville (with Sydney FIFO as an option)
- 8:6 roster FIFO on Thursday. Favourable flight times, fly out at 8am, fly in arriving at 4.30pm
- Develop your skills and experience across D&B, production and planning

The company is expanding its existing processing plant and extending the mine's life through the development of a nearby deposit. The Project
Exciting times lie ahead for this principal miner as they have recently received approvals of a new mining lease which will see the expansion of their existing processing plant, whilst extending the mine's life by another 14 years. Based in Northern Queensland, the mine employs a combination of long hole open stoping and sub level caving mining methods. In this role you will enjoy working across two different mine sites.
The Roster & Camp Facilities
Enjoy a FIFO position on an 8:6 roster with options to fly out of with Brisbane or Townsville. Camp and meals are provided at the fully equipped mining village with transfers organised from the airport. Other benefits include; -
- Chartered flight to Cloncurry (fly out at 8.00am and fly home arriving at 4.30pm)
- Thursday - Thursday roster patters
- Accommodation at walking distance to the mine site

- FIFO from Sydney is available via salary sacrifice flights (leaving home on day 1 and returning on day 8)
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you'll thrive within a tightly knit technical services team and enjoy taking on a diverse role that will give you exposure to D&B, Production and Planning;-
- Assist in the development and implementation of mining plans
- Conduct geological and geotechnical assessments to support mine design and planning
- Collaborate with senior engineers to optimize mining methods, sequence mining activities
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, including geological mapping, drilling data analysis, and ore reserve estimation.
- Monitor and analyze operational data, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Assist in the coordination of drilling, blasting, and ventilation activities
- Participate in mine inspections and safety audits, identifying potential hazards and proposing mitigation measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including geologists, geotechnical engineers, and surveyors, to achieve project objectives.
Your Value
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a similarly related field.
- 1-2+ years of UG mining engineering experience.
- Experienced with D&B engineer as a minimum (production and planning experience highly regarded).
- Knowledge of underground mining methods, processes, and equipment.
- Proficiency in mining software and tools (e.g., Deswik, MineSight, Surpac) is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive mindset with a commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to remote mine sites as required.
