Experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic? Work at a Thriving Gold Mine Operation on Modern underground fleet, top facilities, FIFO role 5 minutes from town!
Location: Mid-West Mining Region, WA
Roster: 8:6 - 7:7
Pay: $75-$85/hr + Super
Work for a globally recognised mining contractor, as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic at an Underground Hard Rock Mining Operation in the Mid-West Region, located only 5 minutes from the nearest town!
Work on modern equipment, enjoy top-tier camp facilities, and be part of a supportive, team-oriented culture.
A solid balance between surface workshop and Underground Field Service Work
Workshop: PM work, scheduled maintenance, component change outs, general repairs, servicing, breakdowns, diagnostics, fault finding
Field: Drill/Mobile Plant servicing, breakdowns, problem solving
Machinery:
Sandvik Development and Production Drill
CAT Boggers
Normet Charmec
Epiroc Trucks
Light vehicles
Essential:
Trade-qualified in heavy diesel mechanical trade
Strong mechanical knowledge in hydraulics and electrical systems
Ability to read schematics and drawings
Can-do attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn
Ability to work autonomously
Advantageous:
Underground hard-rock mining equipment knowledge/experience
Underground drill servicing experience
Dual trade diesel fitter / auto electrician
Camp & Town Facilities: Modern en suite rooms, air conditioning, gym, cinema, BBQ, recreational areas, canteen with broad food selection
Travel Convenience: Fly direct to site - airstrip, camp/town, and mine all close to eachother
Safety & Training: High safety standards, ongoing technical and leadership training
Career Progression: Long-term work with the potential to transition to Byrnecut permanent roles
