They have a supportive team across NSW and all of their states, provide a high-level of service to all of their clients and customers, whilst ensuring their team is heavily supported.
Projects would be anything from fire damage, flood and water damage, heritage restoration and more.
About the Role
This Estimator/Assessor position is based across the Greater Sydney region, with occasional travel to regional NSW.
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing property damage, preparing accurate scopes of work, and producing detailed estimates in line with insurer requirements. You will liaise directly with clients, loss adjusters, trades and internal teams to ensure assessments are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Key duties include:
- Attending site inspections to assess insurance-related damage
- Preparing detailed scopes of work and cost estimates using internal estimating systems
- Liaising with trades, subcontractors, clients and insurers
- Ensuring estimates align with insurer guidelines, policies and cost expectations
- Preparing reports, photos and documentation to support claims
- Managing multiple assessments at one time across a variety of project types
- Providing clear communication to stakeholders throughout the assessment process
- Typical project values range from $5K-$50K

This role reports into the Estimating/Assessment Manager and offers flexibility, allowing you to work from home or the office as needed.
You Need
- At least 6 months of experience in the insurance building sector
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods and local trade practices
- Solid knowledge of the NCC & BCA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail with strong documentation and reporting ability
- Current driver's license
