Take the next step in your underground mining career with one of the world's most respected underground contractors. We're is seeking skilled Underground Heavy Diesel Fitters to join an operation at located in WA's North Eastern Goldfields.
You'll start through Marble Mining with a genuine pathway to permanent employment with a global leading contractor, working on a modern mechanised underground mine with excellent facilities, training, and long-term stability.
* Attractive Roster: 8:6 / 7:7 rotating days & nights - strong work/life balance
* Competitive Pay: $75-$85/hr + super (casual via Marble), transitioning to $70-$80/hr + super permanent

The Operation
A modern underground and open pit gold operation, utilising longhole open stoping with paste fill and a well-established underground fleet. The site is known for strong systems, good people, and long mine life.
Your Role
Initially workshop-focused, progressing into a mix of workshop and field work, including:
* Scheduled maintenance, servicing and PMs
* Breakdowns, fault finding, diagnostics and repairs
* Component change-outs and general mechanical works
* Field breakdown support as required
You'll be part of a well-established maintenance crew with strong leadership and clear systems.
* Sandvik DD422i Development Drills
* Sandvik DL421 Production Drills
* Sandvik LH621i Loaders
* Sandvik TH663i Trucks
* Ancillary fleet including Normet MC605, Volvo L120H, grader & LV fleet
All underground equipment under ~5 years / 30,000 hours.
Essential:
* Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic
* Strong mechanical knowledge with exposure to electrical systems
* Able to read schematics and technical drawings
* Safety-focused, reliable and capable of working autonomously
Advantageous:
* Underground hard rock mining experience
* Dual trade (Diesel Fitter / Auto Electrician)
* Supportive, tight-knit crews who look after one another
* Industry-leading training via OEMs and in-house systems
* Clear temp-to-perm pathway
* Exposure to modern equipment, technology and long-term projects
* Strong career progression once established in the business
