Underground mining engineers wanted for contract roles with mentoring, fast starts, and potential to go permanent based on performance

Looking to gain exposure across multiple underground operations and strengthen your technical experience? These contract roles offer a unique pathway to broaden your underground exposure, work within supportive technical teams, and potentially transition into a permanent position depending on performance and site needs.
You'll join high-performing underground mining operations on short-term contracts (initially around four months, with extensions up to nine months or more depending on site requirements and your preferences).
While the work is contract-based, strong performers often transition into permanent opportunities as openings arise.
Key aspects include:
FIFO ex Perth to established underground gold operations
Approx. 4-month initial contract, with potential extension or temp-to-perm transition
Opportunities across multiple sites, with immediate need at one flagship WA operation
Reporting directly to Senior Mining Engineers or Technical Services Superintendents
Working within tight-knit technical teams (approx. six engineers per panel)
We're looking for Mining Engineers with:
6-12 months' underground hard rock experience (essential)
Graduate Diploma or Bachelor's in Mining or Civil Engineering
Deswik experience highly regarded but not essential
A proactive attitude, safety-first mindset, and ability to work collaboratively in team-based environments
Newer engineers will be supported through thorough inductions, mentoring, and gradual ramp-up, while those with more experience will be given the autonomy to hit the ground running.
