The role

Reporting into the supervisor on your crew, you will enjoy working in a close knit team of maintenance tradespeople and operators on the following duties;-

  • Drill services, breakdowns, fault finding, diagnostics, problem solving, PM work and scheduled maintenance
  • Work will predominantly be UG in the workshop and in the field working on the machines at the face
  • Machinery - Sandvik and Epiroc drills

Your skills and experience

You will have come from a diesel trade background and have a minimum of 5+ years UG mining experience. You will also have a background working on UG hard rock mining drills in the workshop and in the field. Your other skills include;-

  • Having a strong knowledge of Sandvik and Epiroc drills
  • Being able to attend to breakdowns on UG drills and problem solving autonomously
  • Having a high attention to detail and able to deliver quality results
  • Able to work in a small close-knit team and autonomously
  • Excellent safety values
