The duties and team

Reporting to the shift boss/ leading hand on your crew you will enjoy working in a close-knit team. Your duties will involve:

• Charging faces (working with emulsion-based explosives)
• Working closely with the jumbo and long-hole operator
• Stock control
• Working closely with a tight knit crew
• Working in a highly safe manner

Your skills and experience

Your 1-2+ years recent experience working as a shotfirer will put you in a great position with the tasks you will face in this role. Other key skill/ licenses needed;-

• Underground hard rock mining development/production charge up experience (essential)
• Production experience is highly regarded
• Underground explosives license
• Experience working with emulsion-based explosives
• Excellent safety standards
• Team player and have the ability to work autonomously
