The duties and team

Reporting to the shift boss/ leading hand on your crew you will enjoy working in a close-knit team of paste crew operators. Your duties will involve:

• Hands on with a range of hand tools and machinery
• Coordinating backfills operations with underground mining teams to ensure that schedule requirements are met
• Overseeing backfill construction, including fill reticulation installation, barricade construction, and the setup of exclusion zones
• Operating and maintaining equipment to prepare and apply backfill materials to voids
• Maintaining inspection, monitoring, and testing routines during filling to ensure that product specifications are met
• Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports on backfill operations, including material usage and equipment performance.
• Complying with all safety standards, processes, and procedures while demonstrating exemplary behaviour

Your skills and experience

You will need the following for this role:

• Trade qualified / skilled or previous experience working UG as a nipper/ service crew or paste crew
• Skilled with tooling and the ability to carry out work with quality and to plans
• Must Have strong safety record and safety attitude
• Manual C class drivers license
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
• Ability to obtain a pre employment medical
