My client is a luxury developer builder with an excellent reputation in the Queensland market spanning over 25 years of proven success delivering projects in excess of $70m+ specialising in the commercial project market. This organisation had a successful 2024 and are well and truly geared up for an incredible start to 2025 and beyond!

With a strong pipeline of work already under construction and due to company growth, they are looking for an experienced Cost Planner to join the team in their Brisbane office. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is self-motivated, honest, and reliable to step into this role.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is self-motivated, honest, reliable, enthusiastic, and hungry to continue their professional development and step into this role, joining this sophisticated organisation.

Ideal traits the successful candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of experience
  • Excellent ability to build rapport with others.
  • Strong past tenure with employers.

  • Prior experience working in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Transaction Processing: Ensure that all transactions are properly recorded and entered into Jonas Premier accounting software. The timely processing of transactional level financial information, including accounts receivable, accounts payable and bank transactions with a focus on ensuring the accuracy, completeness and integrity of that information;
  1. Bank Reconciliation: Supplier Statement Reconciliation including all bank reconciliations and end of month process support.
  1. Accounts Payable: Verification of invoices and assistance with payments, managing and resolving vendor queries as well as supplier statements across multiple projects.
  1. Accounts Receivable: Assistance with on charges and rebates.
  1. Additional Tasks: Assist with Origin accounts, confirmation of bank details with vendors, assistance with credit applications and BPayments, maintenance of databases.
  1. Creditor Liaison: Liaising with creditors to resolve account discrepancies.

Your Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting is preffered.
  • Excellent communication & relationship building skills with various stakeholders (clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors etc.)
  • Local experience and relationships with consultants and subcontractors
  • Ideally 2-3 years industry experience in the commercial or residential construction industry.
